Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 5 years of experience with semiconductor fabrication processes and technologies.
  3. 3 years of experience with supervisory/management in a manufacturing environment within semiconductor fabrication.

Preferred qualifications:

  1. 2 years of experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  2. Experience in communication and technicians supporting teams including process and equipment engineering.
  3. Experience working in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Operations Metric Reporting System and other relevant software.

Technical support for a technology company is a big task. As the Corporate Operations Engineer within the IT Support Technician team, your mission is to enable the people and technology that keep Google running. Your team provides the front line user support for all of our internal tools and technologies. Beyond the day-to-day, the team will contribute to longer-term technical projects, process improvement and the documentation efforts that help make the Google magic happen.

In this role, you will undertake the manufacturing and logistical operations at Raxium's semiconductor manufacturing fabrication facility in Fremont, CA where the proprietary and microLED displays are fabricated. Raxium has established a revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology that enables new functionality in display products, bringing to users a closer and more natural linkage between the digital and physical realms in applications such as Augmented Reality (AR) and light-field display. With start-up roots and a compound semiconductor fabrication in Silicon Valley, Raxium is seeking to build upon its exceptional Engineering team, with an aim to disrupt next-generation display markets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage wafer fabrication processes across all areas ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards while meeting production goals. Proactively manage resources, address potential delays, and optimize daily assignments.
  2. Enforce safety protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and advocate for stringent quality control measures. Participate and support root cause analyses for quality events and actively participate in quality stand-ups, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and shared responsibility.
  3. Foster a positive work environment, identify training needs, facilitate employee growth, and conduct performance evaluations with constructive feedback.
  4. Monitor production data proactively, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies. Contribute to key operational Key Performance Indicators.
  5. Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of the organization, building strong relationships with cross-functional teams. Ensure seamless operations by fostering open communication and collaborative problem-solving.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000-$166,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
