Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking an experienced equipment technician in New York to perform electro-mechanical troubleshooting on semiconductor manufacturing equipment and to disassemble, repair, and reassemble complex systems per manuals and schematics.

The role involves working with process engineers to optimize process performance, modify equipment when needed, and implement modifications directed by manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• AAS in Electronics Technology or military electronics equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform electro-mechanical root cause troubleshooting of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals, schematics, blueprints, etc.
• Use tests and diagnostic equipment to complete equipment checks.
• Work with process engineers to understand process-equipment interactions and limitations relative to operating specs.
• As needed, modify equipment to improve up-time or overall process performance.
• Perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.
