Job summary

TRUMPF Inc. in the United States is seeking an Equipment Engineer for our semiconductor fab to lead tool maintenance, repairs, and downtime mitigation. You will coach technicians, organize spares, and collaborate across teams with flexible hours.

Requirements include 3+ years in a semiconductor manufacturing environment, knowledge of high-power diode lasers and high-vacuum systems (MBE, PVD, MOCVD, ion beam, sputter, evaporation), and a B.S. in engineering.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience with high-power diode lasers and high-vacuum systems.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Physically able to perform hands-on tool tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor a multi-disciplinary team in preventative maintenance.
• Develop and maintain PM schedules.
• Oversee tool modifications and upgrades.
• Provide engineering support for tool repairs.
• Track downtime, failure modes, and spare parts.
• Coordinate with vendors for installations and maintenance.
