Job summary

Pentagon Technologies, Inc. in Portland, Oregon, seeks an Engineering Technician to support production teams with daily engineering assistance, build and update engineering part records, dispose discrepant materials, and maintain metrology tools and processing equipment to deliver quality parts.

You will work in a controlled environment, document procedures, and help train staff while ensuring safety and compliance with SPC and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2–5 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Print reading and developing.
• Proficient in MS Office and shop floor control software.
• 40 hours of HAZWOPR training a plus.
• Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• Strong reading, communication, and comprehension abilities; ability to read and generate internal documents (work orders, SOPs, logs).
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills; spreadsheet and database management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor processes to parts meeting safety requirements and efficiency.
• Verify and check processes for compliance.
• Dispo­sition non-conforming materials.
• Perform technical training of production staff.
• Generate prints for inspection and coatings.
• Assist in maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
• Develop and maintain documentation and records.
