Job description

Lead Safety Where Innovation Is BuiltEach morning at Micron ID1 in Boise, you step into a world where precision manufacturing meets large-scale construction. As SemiConX's on-site EHS leader, you weave safety into every plan—from mobilization through commissioning and turnover—so mechanical, electrical, and process piping work happens without harm and on schedule.A Day in the RoleYou start in the field, reviewing pre-task plans and job hazard analyses with supervisors. You align permits, PPE, and controls so crews fully understand the work and the risks before they begin. You walk cleanrooms to check gowning, housekeeping, and contamination control, then coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and access to occupied or operating areas with facility-authorized personnel.High-risk activities are your focus: electrical work and LOTO, elevated work, rigging and critical lifts, hot work, confined spaces, excavation, line breaking, and pressure testing. You verify the right reviews and authorizations are in place—and you use stop-work authority whenever needed, guiding teams to a safe restart once controls are verified.Throughout the day, you coach foremen and craft professionals, lead toolbox talks, and deliver targeted safety training. You collaborate with the client and adjacent trades to manage hazards around live utilities, process piping, and chemical and specialty gas systems—bringing in qualified specialists to address chemical exposure, oxygen deficiency, and other process risks when required. What You'll DriveImplement and sustain the SemiConX site-specific safety plan in alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and client expectations; embed safety into work planning, staffing, mobilization, and schedules.Lead hazard assessments, pre-task planning, and risk reviews; ensure crews are briefed on hazards, permits, PPE, and controls before work starts.Oversee safe execution of high-risk construction tasks and verify required approvals are complete.Coordinate in and around operating tools, live utilities, and adjacent trades; manage semiconductor process hazards with client and specialists.Conduct inspections and audits; document findings, assign corrective actions, and close them out.
