Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a GCS Chemical Equipment Engineer to own, commission, maintain and improve bulk and specialty chemical operations on site. You will interact with operations, maintenance, design and vendors to ensure safe, efficient tasks and projects across the fab.

The role requires a strong engineering background, 4+ years in relevant operations, and a focus on safety, process controls and reliability. Competitive total compensation accompanies base pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related technical field.
• 4+ years of relevant operations experience related to semiconductors, oil & gas or chemical manufacturing.
• Preferred: Semiconductor gas and chemical facilities, oil & gas or chemical industry operations, with emphasis on safety and hazardous process materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical ownership for chemical systems, safety, quality standards, and improvements.
• Troubleshoot emergent equipment issues and provide technical direction.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, reliability, safety, and cost savings.
• Plan and execute preventative and breakdown maintenance for performance optimization.
• Support Fab Engineering with technical issues and collaboration for safety and system reliability.
