Job description

Responsible for deployment of fault detection software, sensors, and new application development for the IMS (Intelligent Manufacturing Systems) Product Group. Ideal candidates will be located outside the Portland area but will work remotely and travel to customer sites. The successful candidate will collaborate with INFICON's sales team to develop new opportunities and support projects at assigned accounts.

Responsibilities
  1. Deploy and support sensor integration and the FabGuard Software Platform on a broad array of semiconductor process equipment.
  2. Create recipes and analyze data from tool-based sensors, INFICON sensors, and customer sensors for Fault Detection and Classification (FDC) using FabGuard.
  3. Provide technical assistance to customers within areas of expertise.
  4. Communicate feedback to customers regarding applications, process troubleshooting, recipe development, and installation procedures.
  5. Identify new process areas where INFICON sensors and software can add value.
  6. Report weekly activities, customer requests, and needs to the onsite account manager.
  7. Provide onsite training on INFICON products, including FabGuard FDC software, hardware usage, and troubleshooting.
  8. Support installation of INFICON equipment, including sensors, FabGuard software, and He Leak Detectors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related sciences with 2-5+ years of experience, preferably in semiconductors.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor processes and OEM tools, including Lithography, PVD, and CVD; knowledge of ALD, Etch, and CMP is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for external and internal relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to various field situations and build strong relationships with customers.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20-25%, domestically and internationally.
Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $125,000 per year. INFICON employees are also eligible for a profit-sharing bonus targeting 5%. Actual compensation depends on experience, location, and other factors.
