Job summary

Great Western Trailer is actively hiring skilled Trailer Technicians at our Grants Pass, OR facility to inspect, repair, and fabricate semi-trailers. You will service brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and add-ons, and you may perform welding as needed.

Ideal candidates have strong mechanical aptitude, own tools, and can work overtime. A valid driver’s license is a plus, and bilingual abilities are valued. This role offers growth in a fast-moving, safety-focused shop environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own a personal set of hand tools (except in California).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with semi-trailer equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair semi-trailers, including brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and more.
• Install and replace add-on components such as toolboxes, winches, and ramp kits.
• Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
• Complete service reports and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
