Job summary

Great Western Trailer is seeking skilled trailer technicians to inspect, repair, and fabricate components on semi-trailers at our Phoenix-area shop. You will diagnose issues, perform brake, wiring, and bodywork repairs, and install add-ons like toolboxes and ramps.

We value reliable, detail-oriented team players who can work overtime and maintain safety standards while delivering quality service for our customers.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Own a personal set of hand tools (except in California).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with semi-trailer equipment and maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Preferred: valid driver’s license; 3+ years of experience; ASE/welding certifications; FHWA inspection certification.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair semi-trailers, including brakes, wiring, bodywork, lift gates, and more.
• Install and replace add-on components such as toolboxes, winches, and ramp kits.
• Perform fabrication and welding as needed.
• Complete service reports and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
