Job summary

AlShayeb in Town of Bethlehem is seeking a qualified Semi-Senior/Senior Auditor to join their Audit Team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's in Accounting and have at least four years of auditing experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm.

The role involves planning audits, supervising associates, analyzing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential, and knowledge of Hebrew is a plus. Candidates must also be willing to travel to Jerusalem.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an auditor or senior accountant.
• Experience in a Semi-Senior / Senior Associate role in a Big 4 firm is an asset.
• Knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and accounting laws.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the auditing process.
• Supervise and coach audit associates and interns.
• Assess internal controls and risks for clients.
• Analyze clients' financial statements for audit.
• Report findings and recommend improvements.

Requirements and Skills

• Bachelors in accounting
• Professional certification CPA is a plus

• Holder of Jerusalem ID Card and Valid DrivingLicense is a plus

Responsibilities and Duties

• Planning, conducting, and managing theauditing process.
• Supervising and coaching Audit Associates andinterns.
• Performing understanding process on theclient’s information and operations.
• Assessment of the client's internal controlsand risks.
• Checking for compliance with the legislationand accounting standards.
• Using analytical skills and tools to analysethe client's financial statements throughout the audit process.
• Examining financial statements, accountingrecords, other documents, and information for misstatements due to erroror fraud.
• Performing audit and assurance procedures onsystems, operations, and accounts.
• Leading the team in conducting auditprocedures (Test of Details, Test of Controls, and Substantiveanalytical).
• Reporting audit findings and recommendingimprovements.
• Reporting audited financial statements.
• Taking the lead in managing and completing theaudit file.
• Completing audits on time and submittingreports to auditing manager.
• Communicating with the Manager and/or Partnerin a timely manner with respect to engagement progress – risks, issues,variances from plan.
• Reviewing the work of the associate levels andproviding them on-job training,coaching and timely constructivefeedback to help them grow in their careers.
• Engaging with team and clients from theplanning through the completion phase of the audit as well as closelyfollowing up on the progress of the requested tasks to ensure meeting thetimeline.
• Performing procedures as necessary to supportissuance of the assurance deliverables.
