Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Grocery Driver to haul palletized groceries across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Enjoy consistent routes, mileage-based pay, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus with opportunities for a sixth day.

Average annual pay is around $87,672. Expect 12-hour days, mostly night shifts Sunday-Thursday, with occasional layovers and regional duties. Equipment includes dry van/reefer trucks and slip seating.

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL is required.
Minimum 3 months verifiable Class A CDL experience.
DOT Medical Card required.
Clean driving record is essential.
No SAP drivers.
Ability to perform driver-assist unloading with an electric pallet jack.
Willingness and ability to chain as weather dictates.
Flexibility to support other dedicated accounts.

Responsibilities

Haul palletized groceries in dry van and reefer trailers.
Deliver freight from the Sumner/Tacoma distribution area to customers in WA, OR, and ID.
Approximately 75% driver-assist stops and 25% customer live unload or drop-and-hook.
Driver-assist deliveries require using an electric pallet jack.
Assist other dedicated accounts as needed.
Chain equipment as weather conditions require.
