Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A dedicated grocery driver to haul palletized groceries across Washington and Oregon, with consistent, no-touch stops and driver-assist loading. The role offers an average pay of about $72,696 per year, a $5,000 hiring bonus, and additional stop pay, with about 11-hour shifts and a Thursday-to-Sunday schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Doubles endorsement required within 60–90 days of hire; reimbursement provided.
• Ability and willingness to chain as weather requires.
• Ability to perform driver-assist unloading with an electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Haul palletized groceries from distribution centers in the Sumner/Tacoma, WA area to customers throughout Washington and Oregon.
• Operate dry van, reefer, and pup trailers (27-, 31-, or 34-foot).
• Approximately 40% of loads will be doubles; 90% of stops require driver assistance.
• Use an electric pallet jack to tailgate freight or a forklift to assist unloading.
• Assist other dedicated accounts as needed.
