Job summary

Salt City Trucking is seeking a CDL-A Semi-Local Grocery Driver to haul palletized groceries across WA, OR, and ID. The role offers consistent routes, no-touch stop pay, and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Expect roughly 12-hour days on a Sunday–Thursday schedule, with about 2,400 miles weekly and potential to work a sixth day. Training lasts about two weeks, with regular CPM increases throughout the year.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months verifiable Class A CDL experience
• DOT Medical Card
• Clean driving record
• Willingness to driver-assist unloading with an electric pallet jack
• Flexibility to support other dedicated accounts
• Ability to chain as weather dictates

Responsibilities

• Haul palletized groceries in dry van and reefer trailers.
• Deliver freight from the Sumner/Tacoma distribution area to customers in WA, OR, and ID.
• Approximately 75% driver-assist stops and 25% customer live unload or drop-and-hook.
• Driver-assist deliveries require using an electric pallet jack to tailgate freight or positioning freight for forklift unloading.
• Assist other dedicated accounts as needed.
• Chain equipment as weather conditions require.
