Job summary

The position is temporary, full-time, hourly, non-exempt and reports to the Manager of Semen Processing and Quality Control. Duties include initial semen evaluation and processing, sterilization of glassware, transportation of semen, quality control evaluations, extender prep, general lab maintenance, and administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate students studying animal/dairy science or related field.
• Preferably entering junior or senior year; graduate/professional students considered.
• Laboratory experience and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Initial semen evaluation and processing; sterilization of glassware and lab equipment.
• Transportation of semen and semen quality control evaluations.
• Extender preparation, general laboratory maintenance, and administrative tasks.
• Assisting with research projects and potential independent research work.
