Job summary

Ashley Furniture is seeking a Selling Sales Manager to lead daily retail store operations in Meridian, Idaho. The role drives sales performance, manages all showroom departments, and ensures customer satisfaction through strong leadership and process oversight.

You will oversee margins, quotas, and closing ratios, coach staff, and collaborate with visual merchandising to optimize product placement, while ensuring efficient store administration and policy communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years working in the retail industry.
• 4+ years supervising in a retail environment.
• Experience in interviewing and staffing retail locations.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer-related issues escalated above the Guest Experience Manager.

• Maintain budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Audit employee performance and provide training when needed.
• Ensure documentation of procedures and timely reporting.
• Hire, train, and coach the sales team and administer evaluations.
• Communicate effectively and participate in monthly staff meetings.

Summary:

The Selling Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all departments in the showroom.
• Oversee all sales including margins, volume, quotas, and closing ratios, while developing and implementing future goals.
• Handle all customer-related issues escalated above the Guest Experience Manager.
• Work with the Visual Presentation Manager regarding product placement.
• Report changes in policy and other information to staff members.
• Provide exceptional leadership to the sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach members of the staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Maintain budgeted administrative costs including wages and supplies.
• Audit the performance of employees and provide additional support or training if needed.
• Ensure complete and adequate documentation of procedures and tasks completed.
• Complete various report functions in a timely manner.
• Hire, train, and coach the sales team.
• Prepare and administer performance evaluations for assigned staff.
• Provide timely and effective communications.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned, essential or otherwise.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• 2 + years working in the retail industry
• 4 + years supervising in a retail industry
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office
• Ability to learns in hours computer programs
• Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner
• Ability to interview and staff retail location
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience in team building skills.
