Job summary

Higley Construction in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Self-Perform Project Manager specializing in carpentry and general trades to oversee self-perform projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage bidding, estimating, procurement, field coordination, and financial reporting to meet budget, schedule, safety, quality, and profitability goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
• Experience with self-perform carpentry or general trades preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Industry certifications such as OSHA, CMAA, USGBC are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages self-perform carpentry, finished carpentry, millwork, drywall, and general trades from preconstruction through closeout.
• Leads or supports bidding for carpentry and general trades, including takeoffs and bid submissions.
• Develops project plans, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and workforce needs with field leadership.
• Maintains cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, change management, and profit/loss for assigned work.
• Coordinates contracts, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements; manages project documentation.
• Partners with field teams to uphold safety and quality standards and resolve issues.
