Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred; relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years in roles serving people with ID/DD.
• 1 year Self-Direction experience; 3 years preferred.
• Knowledge of NYS and OPWDD regulations including NYCRR 14 Part 624, 625, 633, The Justice Center; QA/compliance practices.
• Proven leadership, organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to handle sensitive issues.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License and auto insurance as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, IRMA, Therap, and eVero.

Self-Direction Quality Assurance Coordinator

Description

Purpose: To conduct, document, summarize and present internal reviews, while adhering to the mission of the agency. To work toward the common goal of promoting independence and improving self-directed services for all people served by AIM. To ensure a person-centered approach as it applies to all facets of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred.
• (3) years of experience working with people with ID/DD.
• (1) year of Self-Direction experience required; (3) years preferred.
• Knowledge of New York State and OPWDD regulations including NYCRR 14 Part 624, 625, & 633 The Justice Center, and quality assurance and compliance practices.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to demonstrate both critical thinking skills and reliability in decision-making.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Well-developed team skills, unquestioned integrity, and the experience, confidence and presence to effectively handle sensitive issues.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards. Maintain valid insurance and provide insurance card if you use your own vehicle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, IRMA, Therap, and eVero

Quality Assurance Essential Functions

• Collaborate with the Director of Independent Services and the Compliance Officer on Self-Direction Quality and Compliance.
• Routinely complete and present self-direction quality assurance internal reviews.
• Complete and present compliance reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and assist with ensuring agency compliance, while adhering to the mission of the agency.
• Accurately interpret policies, procedures and regulations as applicable and apply them in accordance with person-centered philosophies.
• Assist in acquiring required documentation

Other Duties

• Special projects as assigned.
• Attend professional meetings and trainings as requested.
• Committee membership as assigned.
• Any and all other duties as requested by the Director of Independent Services, Compliance Officer or designee.
