Responsibilities

As a Self-Checkout Host, you represent Sprouts Farmers Market by providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with scanning and self-paying for their items.

• Oversee self-checkout units, ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt, friendly service.
• Assist customers with scanning, weighing, bagging, and paying, ensuring a smooth process.
• Serve multiple customers simultaneously and proactively address potential issues.
• Answer questions and resolve issues related to scanning, weighing, or payment.
• Monitor scanning accuracy and encourage customers to use self-checkout lanes, especially during busy times.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly promotions and assist customers in locating products.
• Keep self-checkout areas clean and organized, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred; cashier experience is a plus.
• Positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment such as registers, scanners, and calculators.
• Dependability with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and move carts requiring up to 35 lbs. of force.
• Attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, and cash handling skills.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position is $17.40 - $22.60 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
