General Function

Provides prompt and friendly service to customers, assists them when necessary, operates a cash register, packages products, and replenishes stock as needed.

Reporting Relations

Reports to: District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers, Service Managers

Positions reporting to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides friendly customer service, exhibits caring and patience, and addresses customer needs.
• Greets customers, learns their names, and assists with product location and carrying heavy items.
• Answers phone calls, educates customers on self-checkout, and processes transactions accurately.
• Handles coupons, food stamps, WIC, and other forms of tender according to policy.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper stocking of the checkout area.
• Follows safety and sanitation procedures and adheres to company policies.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists in store displays and decorations, explains code dates, and performs other tasks as needed.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform basic arithmetic.

Physical Requirements
