Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Winter Haven, FL is seeking a full-time warehouse associate to operate material handling equipment and support receiving, shipping, picking, and inventory control.

You will work with bills of lading, pallets, and daily records, while maintaining forklift batteries and following safety procedures in cold environments. This role requires flexibility across shifts and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of general warehouse practices, terminology, and documents.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to safely operate various Material Handling Equipment.
• Flexibility to work any/all shifts.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
• Ability to effectively use warehouse management system.

Responsibilities

• Operates Material Handling equipment at all warehouses, loading and unloading customer trucks (dry vans, refrigerated units, flat beds).
• Compares Bills of Lading with loads for shortages/overages and to verify shipping/receiving of correct items.
• Assist in maintaining forklift batteries and chargers in temperature-controlled warehouses; maintain fuel for forklifts in dry warehouses.
• Assist in keeping accurate daily records of pallets moved in/out of the warehouse.
• Must be able to stretch wrap pallets top to bottom as needed.
• Must be able to stack cases or case pick.
• Keeps work area clean and performs housekeeping duties as required.
• Performs related work and other assignments as required.

General Summary

This position operates numerous types of Material Handling equipment and utilizes knowledge of various types of warehouse activities, such as receiving, shipping, re-warehousing, picking, verifying and inventory control. They work with various warehouse documents such as Tally sheets, Pick Tickets, and Bills of Lading.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel,reach,and climb stairs. The position requires standing & walking for extended periods of time .
• Work in cold and extremely cold environmentsfor extended periods (freezer and cold storage facilities).
