Core Duties

The Commercial Lines Account Manager needs to be a self-starter, well-organized, highly detailed, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have a solid commercial lines insurance knowledge base with a property & casualty license in this work-from-home position. The Account Manager serves as the primary contact and liaison with small commercial lines clients; ensuring ongoing consistency and managing day-to-day servicing, renewals, and new business. Our goal is to provide positive and quality customer service, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of work/service provided.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Service and manage all aspects for small commercial clients and their policies.
  • Maintain and develop client and company relationships.
  • Retain and manage all policies including service center, non-service center, and surplus lines.
  • Promote growth of existing book through account rounding.
  • Market renewal and new business when necessary.
  • Maintain clients/policies in the agency management system.
  • Coordinate processing of renewals, certificates of insurance, endorsements, audits, cancellations, auto ID cards, binders, summaries of insurance, and edits with the team.
  • Educate and inform clients about policy coverages, changes, exclusions, and coverage needs.
  • Stay updated on market conditions and technical knowledge.
  • Maintain knowledge of technology tools and solutions.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Use analytical and critical thinking in work processes and communication.
  • Maintain a paperless workflow.
  • Protect confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements - Education & Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of Commercial Lines Retail Insurance Experience.
  • Active Property & Casualty Insurance License.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of commercial lines coverages and services.
  • Experience handling small commercial lines accounts.
  • Proficient with Agency Management Systems and Electronic Document Management.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and problem solver.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent computer/internet skills, proficient in carrier websites, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe.
  • Ability to coordinate efforts and deliver results.
  • Problem-solving skills and willingness to upgrade industry and technology knowledge.

Working Conditions

  • Remote work from within the United States only.
  • Minimum internet speed of 6 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload; direct connection to modem; no satellite internet.
