Job summary

Manassas Park City Schools seeks a Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Lead for Cougar Elementary School. This internal stipend role supports selecting and implementing SEL curriculum across classrooms and school activities to foster students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.

The SEL Lead collaborates with administrators, teachers, and families to monitor outcomes, provide professional learning, and engage the community in SEL initiatives aligned with district goals.

Qualifications

• Two years of school counseling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of social-emotional learning frameworks and curriculum implementation.
• Ability to analyze data and monitor program effectiveness.
• Ability to plan and facilitate professional learning for staff.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for relationships with students, staff, families, and community partners.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with school and division leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support and monitor implementation of the division’s SEL curriculum at Cougar Elementary School.
• Conduct classroom observations and review implementation data to ensure effective SEL delivery.
• Collect, analyze, and report SEL-related data to measure impact and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with school leadership to integrate SEL into classroom instruction and school-wide practices.
• Provide targeted professional learning and resources to support SEL implementation.
• Support family and community engagement efforts related to SEL.
• Assist in planning a division-wide SEL-focused community event with stakeholders.
• Participate in meetings and planning sessions related to SEL programming.
