Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Seizure Monitoring Technologist to provide 24‑hour visual monitoring of seizure patients in the Neuro ICU and EMU via a remote video system. You will maintain monitoring components and coordinate with the Comprehensive Epilepsy team on patient status.

Required: High School diploma or GED; Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) with long-term monitoring experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered EEG Technologist (ABRET) required.
• One-two years of Long-Term Monitoring/EEG experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; ABRET certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour visual monitoring of seizure patients in Neuro ICU and EMU.
• Communicate with the Comprehensive Epilepsy team regarding patient status.
• Maintain components of the remote video monitoring system.
• Participate in departmental operations and performance improvement activities.
• Adhere to budget guidelines and mandatory education/licensure requirements.

This is a Full-Time Days shift.As the Seizure Monitoring Technologist, you will provide 24-hour visual monitoring, and subsequent intervention when indicated, of seizure patients in the Neuro ICU and EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) via a remote video system. You will also maintain components of the monitoring system and communicate with staff and members of the Comprehensive Epilepsy team assigned to a patient regarding the patient's seizure status.
