  • Compensation Range: $19.51 - $26.47

The pay range reflects the first and last step pay rates per the collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be determined accordingly.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, provides patient care by performing basic and specialized procedures that contribute to patient well-being, comfort, and safety. Duties include:

  • Performing physical and psychosocial interventions as per the Patient Care Technician Skill Inventory.
  • Collecting and recording specimens and body fluids.
  • Performing technical procedures such as venipuncture, EKGs, and telemetry readings.
  • Documenting patient data and performing tests.
  • Attending to environmental needs and supporting patient comfort.
  • Participating in Quality Assurance activities.
  • Orienting patients and families to the unit and providing information on Patients' Bill of Rights.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support patient care and unit functioning.
Requirements

High School Diploma and two years of healthcare experience in roles such as Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide, EMT, Medic/Corps Person, or completed two clinical semesters as a Nursing Student, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
