Compensation Range: $17.67 - $23.98

The referenced pay range represents the first and last step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Exercise courtesy in contacts with patients, customers, and department staff; set up, serve, and clean up food service area; prepare orders such as soda fountain dishes, desserts, etc., as directed. Maintain prescribed standards of sanitation, housekeeping, and safety in the work area.
  2. Perform limited food preparation or final processing of simple salads, desserts, vegetables, etc., including cutting, dishing out portions, wrapping, labeling, and rotating food.
  3. Set up, maintain, and clean beverage containers and related equipment; set up condiment areas, counters, and maintain supplies; store condiments and leftovers hygienically.
  4. Check for replacement needs and shortages, notify proper personnel.
  5. Wash and sanitize dining room tables, chairs, and utensils; maintain cleanliness of the dining area; assist in setting up patient trays.
  6. Maintain sanitation and safety standards; report defective equipment; may act as fill-in cashier and perform other food service duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and write English, and to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
