Experis Technology Group in Spring, TX is seeking a Scientific Software Engineer to join our client’s team on a 1-year contract with potential conversion to full-time. The role is primarily development (80-100%) focusing on seismic imaging and geoscience applications on an HPC platform.

Compensation is $80-$95 per hour via W2 with additional options. The candidate will collaborate with researchers, optimize code for performance, and work within an Agile Scrum environment to deliver robust

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, applied math, computational science, or related field.
• Several years of C/C++ experience with scientific computing and parallel computing.
• Experience in a Linux environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a diverse team.
• Self-motivated with a drive to learn and a safety oriented mindset.

Responsabilités

• Develop and support proprietary seismic imaging applications on a scrum team.
• Collaborate with researchers to enable their work and commercialize prototype code.
• Support globally distributed internal partners.
• Optimize applications to improve HPC utilization and throughput of seismic processing.
• Collaborate with HPC systems and geoscientists on future hardware decisions.
