Silicontek Inc. in Spring, TX seeks a C++ Scientific Developer (C++ HPC Software Engineer) to build seismic imaging software on a world-class HPC system.

You will work with geoscientists and researchers, turning prototype code into production-grade software and helping optimize performance on large-scale computing resources. You must have 10+ years in C/C++ for parallel scientific computing, modern C++, Python and Bash on Linux, and experience with third-party APIs.

Formación

• 10+ years of C/C++ experience on parallel scientific computing code
• Modern C++ (C++11 and later)
• Python and Bash scripting on Linux
• Experience building simulation-based software
• Experience working with third-party APIs
• Strong grasp of code complexity and performance
• A degree in computer science, software engineering, engineering, applied mathematics, computational science or related field
• Must live within 45 miles of Spring, TX

Responsabilidades

• Develop and support seismic imaging applications as part of a Scrum team
• Work from a shared backlog with engineers in Houston and India
• Collaborate with geoscientists and researchers to understand needs and solve problems
• Turn prototype research code into reliable production software
• Tune applications to optimize use of HPC system and speed up seismic processing
• Support business partners around the world
• Assist HPC systems team and geoscientists in planning future hardware and system upgrades
