Job summary

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. is seeking a Seibi Lead Technician in Liberty, NC to drive machine set up, OA improvements, and cross-functional problem solving within the Battery group. You’ll lead, mentor, and schedule Seibi activities, coordinating with the PE master plan and management teams.

The role requires hands-on technical work, strong communication, and readiness to travel up to 30% domestically/internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree or higher or equivalent field experience.
• Experience with complex manufacturing equipment and robotics.
• Ability to teach technical topics and mentor technicians.
• PLC programming experience with Mitsubishi and Toyopuc PLCs.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting (Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Participate in Seibi project planning with PE.
• Create detailed Seibi schedules aligned to the master PE schedule.
• Mentor Technicians on Seibi activity.
• Support technical development across cross-functional groups.
• Develop and manage denwacho for commissioning process.
• Provide written/verbal project status reports to management.
• Identify issues, implement countermeasures and risk mitigation.
• Lead effective communication with management and Seibi members.
• Perform hands-on Seibi tasks alongside team members as needed.
