Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Segment Risk Specialist to partner with the Segment Operational Risk Manager in administering the corporate risk program, identifying key risks and controls, and developing testing of those controls.

You will perform risk and control assessments, document policies, support remediation efforts, and foster a risk-aware culture across business segments in an office-based role with potential flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or four additional years of risk-related experience in lieu of degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk Management or Operational Risk.

Description Summary: The Segment Risk Specialist works with the Segment Operational Risk Manager in the administration of the corporate risk management program and the business segment(s) to identify key risks and controls and develop and conduct testing of those controls.

Duties & Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk Management or Operational Risk
  • In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree 4 additional years of segment-specific or risk related experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications and the ability to communicate and present requirements and issues clearly and concisely.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with all businesses.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
