Job summary

Bloomberg Television is seeking a highly motivated segment producer to join our flagship program at our New York City headquarters. You will produce segments for reporters, newsmakers and top guests on market-moving stories and support the line producer, anchors, and editors.

You'll join the control room daily to call elements, check in reporters, and manage banners. A strong interest in global news, finance, and the economy is essential, with the ability to act quickly under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience producing for live TV.
• Knowledge of business news and the financial markets.
• Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under deadline pressure.
• Flexibility with hours.

Responsibilities

• Produce segments for a daily show that covers the top market-moving stories.
• Be proactive - pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content.
• Pitch newsmakers and stories.
• Develop relationships within the business, finance communities globally.
• Work closely with the other producers and talent.
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
• Be able to pivot and react as news events evolve.
