Job summary

KTLA is seeking a Segment Producer for a part-time seasonal role to support the Rose Parade coverage. The candidate will research, write, produce and edit content for our live New Year’s Day celebration, collaborating with Executive and Show Producers on story ideas and pitches.

The role includes researching stories, booking shoots, conducting on-site interviews, scripting, and editing rough cuts with VO, music, A-roll, and B-roll.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in film, communications, marketing, management, or related field.
• Experience editing with Adobe Premiere.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Previous television editing experience.

KTLA is looking for a skilled Segment Producer to work on our Emmy Award winning live Rose Parade coverage. This job requires skills in researching, writing, producing and editing content for our New Year's Day celebration. Producer with a can-do attitude will work directly with Executive and Show Producers on story ideas and pitches.

• Write all scripts for segments.

• Work with Executive Producers and Producers on story outline.
• Position is temporary October to December.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in film, communications, marketing, management, or related field
• Must be experienced in editing with Adobe Premier
• Capable of meeting tight deadlines and working with time constraints
• Must be a self-starter, able to excel independently
• Ability to multitask with excellent attention to detail
• Previous television editing experience a must
• Ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment
• Professional judgment for handling confidential information
• Excellent written and verbal communications AVAILABLE: Immediately

Compensation: $30.00+ hourly
