Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Avondale, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse to ensure high‑quality resident care in a clean, safe environment and to collaborate with physicians, therapists and nursing assistants.

The role involves developing and updating the nursing care plan, making nursing diagnoses, managing medication administration, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. Active RN license and BLS are required; ACLS preferred; rehab experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.
• ACLS certification from AHA is preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.
• Experience in acute care setting is preferred.
• Rehab experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work flexible hours.
• Electronic charting system experience required.
• CRRN preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure the nursing care plan and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed

Job description

Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:

• Ensures proper resident care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
• Develop and ensure the nursing care plan and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants
• Makes nursing diagnoses, which serve as the basis for the strategy of care
• Collaborates with the resident, members of the healthcare team
• Records the administration of medication
• Monitor assigned staff to ensure established safety regulations are followed and that all tasks are performed following all state and government regulations and safety procedures as outlined by the facility
• Follows procedures related to the use of nursing equipment and supplies
• Performs other duties as directed

Qualifications of the Registered Nurse include:

• An active RN license
• Prior experience as an RN for at least one year
• Acute care setting preferred
• The desire to care for compromised patients and act with integrity
• The ability to work flexible hours
• Rehab experience preferred
• Must have electronical charting system experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Current ACLS certification from AHA preferred
• Must have electronic charting system experience
• CRRN preferred but not required
