Responsibilities

• Administers direct patient care including initial psychiatric evaluations and treatment at multiple program sites.
• Reviews medical history, orders labs and reviews results.
• Provide inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment to adults and adolescents with a multidisciplinary team.
• Conducts medical examinations necessary for medication monitoring.
• Provides psychiatric treatment regimens, rehabilitation plans and team leadership.
• Performs related duties as required.

Job Description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Psychiatrists who may be considering making a change in their practice now or in the future – and who seek a better professional / personal life balance and the outstanding quality of life.

Major Responsibilities:

• Administers direct patient care which includes but is not limited to: initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic evaluations, medication evaluations and treatment at more than one program site.
• Reviews medical history, orders laboratory tests and reviews results.
  
• Provide inpatient hospital and intensive outpatient treatment to adults and adolescents with a comprehensive treatment team. Duties will include admission evaluations; treatment planning and treatment team leadership; daily care of assigned patients; and administrative activities related to patient care.
• Conducts medical examinations necessary in the course of medication monitoring.
• Provide physician services, assessment, diagnosis, psychiatric treatment regimen, rehabilitation plans, and support services to persons served by the program’s treatment team.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Demonstrates appropriate medication administration.
• Prepares documentation regarding medications complies with facility and regulatory standards.
• Composes timely, accurate, and thorough documentation of patient behavior, medical interventions, treatment planning and intervention.
