Seeking Medical Director to lead Pediatric Inpatient/Intensive Care Unit in Summerville, SC! Flexible week on/week off schedule, less than an hour from Charleston, SC! Start date and relocation bonuses, totaling $50K!

Envision Physician Services has an opportunity for a Board Certified Pediatric Intensivist to lead our inpatient pediatric and pediatric critical care practice at Summerville Medical Center (SMC) in Summerville, SC. Summerville Medical Center is home to the busiest Pediatric Emergency Room in South Carolina and is staffed with Peds EM trained physicians. Pediatric subspecialty support includes onsite Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, and Anesthesia, with telemedicine coverage for Pediatric Cardiology. There is active recruitment for a remote telemedicine Pediatric Neurology service. The hospital aims to further develop their PICU program to be the premier pediatric care provider in the area.

Opportunity Details:

• Staffing Model: 2 Pediatric Intensivists to evenly share call coverage
• Schedule: flexible call schedule to accommodate family and personal needs

• Teaching: Family practice residency program with active resident participation in rounds
• Cover both PICU/Pediatrics, with ER consults
• 6-bed PICU with 2 observation beds
• 2024 Pediatric/PICU Admission Data:
  • 373 Pediatrics Admits; 85 PICU Admits
  • ADC: 4.1
• Pediatric subspecialty support includes Pediatric Surgery, GI, ENT, Anesthesia, Radiology, with telemedicine coverage for Pediatric Cardiology and active recruitment of Pediatric Neurology

Candidate Profile:

Candidates must be MD/DO, Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care.

Reporting Structure:

The Medical Director will report directly to the Regional Medical Director.
