Job summary

GREEN Charter Schools seeks passionate educators to drive student achievement through creativity and innovation. Provide weekly instructional services either in person at a mutually agreed location or virtually, with instruction scheduled to meet student needs.

Responsibilities include planning lessons aligned to standards, collaborating with teachers, and adapting instruction for medical, academic, and developmental needs of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• SC Special Education or Elementary Education teaching certification required.
• Ability to plan, prepare, and implement lessons aligned to grade-level standards.

• Adapt instruction to meet medical, academic, and developmental needs of the student.
• Monitor student progress and provide updates to classroom teacher and school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid SC Special Education or Elementary Education teaching certification

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide weekly instructional services either in person at a mutually agreed-upon location or virtually, based on the student’s needs and family preference.
• Deliver instruction that is equivalent to a minimum of 55 minutes per school day, with the specific schedule agreed upon by the classroom teacher and the student’s family.
• Plan, prepare, and implement lessons aligned to grade-level standards and the student’s current curriculum.
• Collaborate regularly with the classroom teacher to ensure continuity of instruction, pacing, and expectations.
• Adapt instruction as needed to meet the student’s medical, academic, and developmental needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide updates to the classroom teacher and school as required.
• Maintain appropriate documentation of instructional time, lesson plans, and student participation.
• Comply with all district policies related to confidentiality, instructional quality, and student safety.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Communicate consistently with the classroom teacher, family, and designated school staff regarding scheduling, progress, and instructional needs.
• Participate in meetings related to the student’s instructional plan when requested.

Schedule:

• Until the end of the 2025 - 2026 academic school year
