Overview

The Department of Pediatrics at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) and The Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is seeking a full time, board certified/board eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist to diagnose, manage and care for a variety of pediatric endocrine disorders in children ranging in age from infancy to young adulthood. This position requires the ability to work both independently at our Jackson Heights location and collaboratively within a team of practitioners at our flagship practice located at 1991 Marcus Ave in New Hyde Park, Long Island, NY.

The Division of Pediatric Endocrinology is part of an academic institution that includes physicians in all pediatric subspecialties as well as pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and radiologists. Our team consists of 14 board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, 4 endocrine fellows, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, certified diabetes educators, experienced endocrine nurses, social worker, and two registered dieticians. The Department of Pediatrics has a fully accredited and independent residency program and encourages participation in scholarly activities including teaching, clinical research and/or quality improvement.

Cohen Children’s Medical Center opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area’s only hospital designed exclusively for children. Today, it is the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, treating over 230,000 children per year and serving 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties.
