The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) of Northwell Health and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is recruiting a full-time Board-certified or Board-eligible Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician to join our family. Candidates with a research interest will be looked upon favorably.
Our Pediatric Emergency Medicine team consists of 30 PEM attendings, 4 general pediatricians, and 5 ACP’s. We are located on the Queens and Nassau County border. We are the busiest Pediatric Emergency Department in NY state with an annual volume of just over 70,000 visits a year. Additionally, we are the busiest American College of Surgeons Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in NY state. Our pediatric transport system is extremely robust with approximately 3,000 ED transfers a year. We have a dedicated behavioral health area, as well as a behavioral health urgicenter. The department layout includes 33 individual patient exam rooms and 2 critical care/trauma bays. Our amazing and highly skilled nursing staff recently received the highest ranking in Magnet designation and were a recipient of the Lantern award from the Emergency Nurse’s Association. Amongst our staff are experts in Global Health, Child Abuse, Ultrasound, Emergency Management, Pediatric Transport, Trauma, Quality, Advocacy/Gun Violence Prevention, Simulation, and Research.
