Job summary

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops in Lisle, IL invites applications for a Seeds Communications Intern as part of the Emerging Talent Program. This role provides hands-on experience with day-to-day operations and exposure to real-world challenges while applying academic knowledge to help grow the Seeds communications function.

You will learn how to build content, manage digital marketing tasks, and support events, with guidance from a management team and in-house training.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and pursuit of an advanced degree in a related field.
• Must demonstrate a breadth of skills through training, on-the-job experience, or coursework.
• Desire for agriculture and food production is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Build communications initiatives and content for the Seeds business globally and in North America.
• Learn communications fundamentals and best practices.
• Learn technology to support communications execution.
• Participate in in-house training and receive mentorship from management.
• Develop skills and experience to further your communications career.
• Assist in implementing communications initiatives as assigned.
• Support digital marketing efforts for North America Communications (enewsletters, social media, events).
• Assist with asset management, content audits, and content creation.
• Learn digital technologies to measure and optimize plans.
• Create and execute a social content calendar for Seeds leaders.
• Support summer events as needed.
• Develop basic knowledge of the Seeds business.

Syngenta's Syngenta’s Commercial Team is seeking a Seeds Communications Intern in Lisle, IL.

As part of Syngenta's Emerging Talent Program, you will gain hands-on experience, exposure to day-to-day business operations, and opportunities to apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges while developing your professional skills.

Accountabilities

• Build communications initiatives and tactical content for the Global and North America Seeds business.


• Learn communications fundamentals and best practices.


• Learn technology to support communications execution.


• Training is provided in-house, and guidance is provided by management.


• Develop skills and experience to further your career.


• Assist in the execution of communications initiatives as assigned.


• Support the digital marketing effort for North America Communications, such as e-newsletters, social media, and event support.


• Assist with asset management, content audits, and content creation.


• Learn digital technologies to support the execution and measurement of communications plans.


• Develop and execute a social content calendar for Seeds leaders.


• Support summer events as needed.


• Develop basic knowledge of the Seeds business.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the student must be pursuing an advanced degree in an applicable discipline.


• Requires developed specialized skills, or a breadth of skills, through job-related training, on-the-job experience, and coursework.

Desired Qualifications:

• A demonstrated passion for agriculture and food production is a definite asset.


• Knowledge of marketing processes, data insights and analytics, agronomics, general cropping practices, agricultural technology and trends, and requirements for pest control.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comprising strong interpersonal skills.


• Ability to lead, be self-directed, and work as part of a team.

Additional Information

All applicants must be eligible to work in the US, and likely Downers Grove, Illinois.

Salary for this position ranges between $20 - $45 hourly.
