Job summary

UPL Limited in RTP, NC, seeks an Associate in the Internal Lab to verify and validate seed treatment formulations and assist the Technical Lab Lead in related duties. The role focuses on evaluating blends, maintaining records, and supporting lab operations within a global team.

The ideal candidate has a chemistry background with 1–3 years in agriculture chemistry and hands-on experience with HPLC/GC or similar instruments, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field required; Master’s degree desired.
• 1–3 years experience in agricultural chemical or related industry preferred.
• Hands-on experience with analytical instruments like HPLC, GC, particle analyzer to characterize ST formulations is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail with analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• 60%: Evaluate custom blends for crops, treat seed, certify samples, maintain shipping records, develop methods to analyze ST formulations, and present findings.
• 20%: Support lab lead in maintaining NAM seed treatment lab, instruments, and SOPs; greenhouse assistance.
• 20%: Collaborate with India ST lab, Global ST team and US New Ag Tech Team to analyze formulations and provide treated seed for R&D needs.
