Job summary

Ball-Horticultural Company seeks a Seed Handler on the Receiving team to receive, verify, record, and move incoming seed for production. You will use SAP, inspect labels, check calculations, and communicate issues to ensure seed is correctly stored and available for production.

Responsibilities include recording deliveries, processing with SAP, confirming storage locations, and maintaining quality control against damage or tampering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and understand simple calculations used in receiving.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive dock deliveries and record incoming seed accurately.
• Use SAP to complete receiving functions and lab orders.
• Check seed labels and verify correct storage location.
• Follow quality-control measures and report tampering, contamination, or damage.
• Move seed to vaults and complete tares/pouches process.
• Communicate deliveries, discrepancies, damage, and next steps.
• Check invoicing associated with received seed.
• Take samples and make storage or receiving adjustments as directed.
