Job summary

Beck's Hybrids in El Paso, IL is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to perform daily maintenance on processing facilities and machinery. You will follow safety methods, manage lockout/tag out, and ensure proper equipment selection for tasks, with a focus on protecting workers and assets.

The role requires at least 3 years in construction and maintenance in the seed industry, a High School diploma or GED, and relevant certifications (confined space, aerial lift, forklift).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record as per Beck's insurance policy.
• CDL or Chauffeur’s license or equivalent may be required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of tools and seed processing machinery.
• Able to complete Confined Space training.
• Able to complete Aerial Work Platform Safety course.
• Able to complete Beck's Fork Lift training.
• Compute basics: Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Three years in construction and maintenance in the seed industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance duties as assigned by the Location Maintenance Lead.
• Comply with approved safety methods while completing maintenance duties.
• Ensure all energy sources conform to lockout/tag out procedures.
• Select proper equipment for tasks above ground level (ladders, lifts, harnesses) and protect against falls.
• Use PPE and be aware of environmental hazards.
• Report on parts needed, inventories and order as assigned.
• Respond to emergency maintenance needs for processing facilities.
• Manage gas cylinders and calls for deliveries.
• Enter assets into preventative maintenance program.
• Manage inventory accurately.
• Sharpen drill bits.
• Enter daily logs of work completed.
• Assist by helping maintenance.
• Perform other related duties as may be required.
