Job summary

Bayer in Payette, ID is seeking a Field Production Representative to oversee seed production from field to plant, select growers, coordinate harvests, and ensure quality and cost targets are met.

You will train workers, monitor fields, manage inspections, and collaborate with Crop Specialist, Field Quality, and Production Research teams to improve reliability, efficiency and compliance with SSHE and Business Conduct requirements.

Qualifications

• BS degree or HS diploma with 3+ years in the seed industry.
• Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to influence across functions and manage multiple stakeholders.
• Customer-focused mindset with process-oriented planning.
• Negotiation and cost/quality awareness.
• Experience using digital and analytical tools for production decisions.

Responsibilities

• Produce seed at expected yield, with optimal quality and cost, and coordinate harvest and delivery.
• Select growers to improve reliability by evaluating capability and past performance.
• Execute contracts and suggest updates to pricing and guidelines.
• Lead field activities including seed shipment, trials, rouging, and harvesting.
• Monitor fields and advise growers to maximize yield and quality.
• Train workers and growers on field operations and safety compliance.
• Update production yield estimates and analyze performance data.
• Coordinate field inspections for phytosanitary certificates.
