Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a skilled C++ Software Developer to support aircraft software maintenance efforts at NAVAIR-PAX River in St. Mary’s County, MD. This on-site role requires a current Active Secret Clearance and US citizenship.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in engineering or computer science and hands-on experience with C++, Linux (RHEL), Oracle databases, and Visual Studio. Familiarity with Ada, DOORS, Cameo, and modeling/simulation tools is a plus.

Qualifications

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled C++ Software Developer to provide support to aircraft software maintenance efforts. This role is located at NAVAIR-PAX River in St. Mary's County, MD and requires on-site presence 5 days/week.

Clearance:

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements:

• Ability to write, review, and test C++ code
• Experience working with Linux Operating Systems including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Experience with Oracle databases
• Experience with Visual Studio

Responsibilities:

• Provide software development expertise as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Review data, reports, studies, designs, design documentation, tests, or equipment to determine conformance with contract technical requirements

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Familiarity with Ada programming language
• Experience with DOORS and/or Cameo
• Experience using and troubleshooting modeling and simulation (M&S) systems/programs
• Experience with hardware integration and SW/HW interfaces
• Knowledge of military avionics

Compensation:

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00(USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
