Position Purpose

The Security and Transportation Officer ensures the safety and well-being of St. Joseph of the Pines’ residents, visitors, staff, and facilities. As a trusted team member, you’ll deliver excellent service while providing secure transportation to appointments, shopping, and community activities.

Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment on campus.
  • Transport residents in a company vehicle to scheduled appointments and activities.
  • Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation.
  • Maintain the vehicle by performing routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and refueling.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules with staff and residents.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to safety concerns, fostering a calm environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Medical First Responder Class or CENA license preferred
  • Experience in long-term care or with geriatric populations preferred
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal skills for working with residents and team collaboration
  • High personal accountability and decision-making skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and interpret organizational policies
  • Ability to transfer residents onto and off vehicles and into destinations
