Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a seasoned Security Training Director to design and deliver the security staff curriculum across McLaren subsidiaries in Michigan. You will plan, schedule, and train the team while ensuring patient, visitor, staff, and property safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will maintain training records, monitor certifications (Firearms, Taser, CPR/AED/First Aid, Defensive Tactics), and drive improvements to onboarding and ongoing security education in a hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 8 years of security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Current Firearms Instructor or obtained within one year of hire.
• Current Taser Instructor or obtained within one year of hire.
• Current CPR/AED/First Aid Instructor or obtained within one year of hire.
• Current Defensive Tactics Instructor or obtained within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design the security curriculum.
• Plan, schedule, and train the security staff curriculum.
• Participate in system wide rounding to confirm compliance with training.
• Maintain training records on security staff.
• Recommend additional training or extension to probationary periods for new hires.
• Monitor compliance with all new hire and annual security training requirements.
• Maintain all required training records for McLaren sites licensed under Public Act 330 of the State of Michigan.
• Act as one of the system Administrators for the security reporting writing system.
• Assist in assuring compliance with all regulatory and other agency requirements, laws, and statutes pertaining to the operation of the department.

Position Summary:

Provides security staff training at all McLaren subsidiaries. Also, assists with the enforcement of security/safety related regulations, and protects hospital patients, visitors, staff, and property from hazardous conditions and/or criminal activities, including potential for violence in the workplace.
