Job summary

Zachary Piper is seeking a Security Engineer - Tool Integration (Secret Clearance) for a world leading technology organization in the Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area. This onsite role requires 5 days in the office and focuses on integrating enterprise security tools into Splunk while building automation that enhances SOC operations.

The ideal candidate has deep Splunk experience, security tool integrations, and Python-based automation to improve visibility and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of security engineering or related field.
• Experience onboarding data sources into Splunk and building searches.
• Proven ability to integrate security tools with Splunk and automate SOC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of security tools and data sources into Splunk to improve monitoring and threat detection.
• Design, develop, and optimize Splunk dashboards, correlation searches, reports, and data ingestion pipelines.
• Develop Python scripts and automation workflows to streamline SOC processes.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts and engineering teams to enhance security visibility and operations.
• Troubleshoot data onboarding, system integrations, and security platform performance.
