Job summary

Electrosoft Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Security Tool Engineer specialized in Palo Alto firewalls to support enterprise infrastructure. The role covers administration, engineering, automation, and security across Windows Server, RHEL/Linux, and virtualization environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on firewall administration experience, scripting skills, and knowledge of security hardening standards. This position includes 24/7 on-call rotation and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of IT infrastructure, information security, or related experience.
• Strong hands-on Palo Alto firewall administration and support.
• Proficiency with Windows Server and RHEL/Linux administration.
• Experience with automation and scripting (Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash, etc.).
• Knowledge of CIS Controls, NIST 800-53 Rev. 5, and DISA STIGs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure across Windows Server, RHEL/Linux, virtualization, and network environments.
• Administer Palo Alto Networks next‑generation firewalls, including policies, NAT, app controls, security profiles, interfaces, zones, VPNs, and logging.
• Troubleshoot traffic, routing, VPN, and firewall policy issues using logs and diagnostic tools.
• Support firewall upgrades, configuration changes, updates, backups, maintenance, and change-management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex infrastructure and security issues.
• Develop automation using Python, PowerShell, PowerCLI, Bash/Shell, Perl, and JavaScript to support admin tasks.
• Perform O&M, configuration, and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain documentation for system designs, firewall policies, and baselines.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
