Description

Part Time * Weekend Nights 11 pm - 7 am * Security Technician's earn $17.50/HR

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Make rounds of the facility ensuring all doors and windows are secure.
  2. Monitor the camera activity.
  3. Direct visitors to their desired location.
  4. Throughout the shift, record routine activities on the departmental log.
  5. Report any unusual occurrences to the supervisor.
  6. Serve as the contact person to call the police.
  7. Diffuse situations that may arise so as not to escalate and become uncontrolled.
  8. Serve as property contact person for all environmental services issues.
  9. Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled by supervisor.
  10. Shovel and salt main entrances and sidewalks after snow.
  11. Perform daily tasks as assigned such as picking up trash and turning off/on lights.
  12. Assist residents with light maintenance requests (e.g., clogged toilet, light bulb that needs to be changed).
  13. Maintain the high standards of the community by picking up trash when seen on the road, ensuring that lights are functioning, and keeping vehicles clean.
  14. Respond to all alarms (medical or fire) and assist with fire and emergency evacuation drills.
  15. Complete all necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
  16. Perform routine duties including package deliveries, bulb replacements, work orders, and any miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  17. Properly maintain and store all tools and equipment and keep workshop clean and orderly.
  18. Follow all department policies and procedures, including proper use of all PPE issued and attend all departmental meetings and required facility in-services.
  19. Assume other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed by on-call person or Manager of Maintenance.

Position Requirements

Education: High School diploma and/or equivalent

Experience: 6 months previous security experience; 1 year previous security experience in a retirement community or similar preferred.

Professional Membership, Licensures, Certifications: Valid PA Driver’s License
