Job summary

INSPYR Solutions is seeking a Security Technician (Level 2 & 3) for Charlotte, NC on a six-month contract with strong potential for contract-to-hire. You will travel to client sites, install and service security systems, and ensure compliance with drawings and wiring standards.

You will drive to one site per day within ~50 miles, using your own vehicle, and complete tasks including site surveys, wiring, testing, and documentation while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screen.
• Experience installing and servicing security systems preferred.
• Must be willing to drive to multiple sites daily within ~50 miles.

Responsibilities

• Inspect installation sites and review work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material needs.
• Install, maintain, and repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment.
• Mount and secure control panels, sensors, cameras, and other components per wiring diagrams.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits, sensors, and system components to ensure proper operation.
• Verify operation of backup batteries, keypads, sirens, and other security features.
• Demonstrate professionalism and ensure safety compliance on all sites.

Job Title: Security Technician (Level 2 & 3)

Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Six-month contract, strong potential for contract to hire

Pay Rate: $25 to $30 hourly, depends on experience
Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. (Either now or in the future)

Manager Notes:

• You will be driving to one site per day to service our client needs (Jobs are within 50 miles of your home location. Most jobs will be within 30 miles of your home location)
• You will be driving your own vehicle.
• Must have a valid drivers license

Day to day:

• Inspect installation sites and review work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and ensure proper installation procedures are followed.
• Install, maintain, and repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment in accordance with electrical layouts and building plans.
• Mount and secure control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras, and connect components by installing electrical and telephone wiring.
• Test and troubleshoot circuits and sensors according to wiring diagrams and system specifications.
• Verify proper operation of backup batteries, keypads, sirens, and all security features; diagnose and resolve malfunctions as needed.
• Stay up to date with new products, technologies, and industry developments.
• Order replacement parts as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues for end users.
• Demonstrate understanding of IPv4 and the ability to assign IP addresses to computers.
• Complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, workmanship, and customer service.
• Submit all required documentation promptly.
• Comply with all company and project-specific safety requirements.
