Job summary

Bear Creek Mountain Resort seeks a Security Team Member dedicated to providing a safe, enjoyable guest experience. The role supports the security team, works with others and individually, emphasizing strong communication and attention to detail to protect guests and assets.

Responsibilities include patrolling the resort, assisting with investigations, coordinating parking needs, supporting events, and executing emergency procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Previous security or customer service experience required.
• Flexible schedule and availability during peak operating times (weekends/holidays/events).
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certifications.

Responsibilities

Job description

The ideal Security Team Member for Bear Creek is a guest service focused individual with the ability to help create a positive, memorable experience for our guests. The successful team member will be able to work with their team as well as individually, have good communication skills, be detail oriented and foster the Bear Creek culture by focusing on our guests. This position will be an important member of the Security team, providing a safe and secure environment for our guests, managers and front-line team using guest service techniques while securing Company assets. The right person will work to manage and diffuse incidences through positive guest interactions.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Provide a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests
• Patrol entire resort area, inside and out
• Contact and assist police with investigations as needed

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM ALL BCMR TEAM MEMBERS:

• Acknowledge all guests and respond promptly to their needs, however busy and whatever time of day. Ensure unresolved incidents are reported to Manager/Supervisor
• Familiarity with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
• Contribute to the team's success by accomplishing tasks and assisting with projects as needed
• Maintain knowledge and compliance with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
• Work as a team member to ensure our guests have the best possible experience
• Understand emergency procedures and be able to apply them when necessary
• Report any incidents, property damage or injuries immediately to Manager/Supervisor
• Attend department meetings and training sessions as necessary
• Other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Supervisor

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous security or customer service experience required
• High School diploma or equivalent required

• Alternate Sit/Stand or Walk at Will : The ability to alternate between sitting and standing is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

• Outdoors: Job requires work outdoors with workers unprotected and exposed to the elements. This does not include the commute to/from work.
• Extreme Cold: Exposure to non-weather-related temperatures that are:
  • 40 degrees or colder if the exposure is 2/3 or more of the workday
  • 32 degrees or colder if the exposure is for less than 2/3 of the workday
• Extreme Heat: Exposure to non-weather-related temperatures that exceed:
